New Command Center & 2015 Clean House Calendar

Recently on Pinterest I came across Leah’s Organization Station over at Simply Fabulous Living and was inspired to create my own.  Here’s what I came up with.

I really like the idea of everyone having his or her own spot for mail and having the shredder in this location is incredibly convenient.  I also liked that Leah has a trash can in her organization station as well,  but since my kitchen trash is less that 5 steps away I chose not to add one for my family.  Finally, this is the best location in my kitchen for the dog’s bowl, so there it is.

I already had the bulletin board here with a calendar on it.  And in truth it functioned as a family command center.  We all checked this calendar everyday and my Clean House Calendar Planner & Cleaning Schedule was tuck away in another room not getting used the way it should be.  So I decided the 2015 Clean House Calendar needed to be something I could use in this space as the family calendar.  Here it is, the 2015 Clean House Calendar!

I designed it to be printed on 11 x 17 paper then bound (I used a binding comb) and hung in your home command center.  However, it can be easily printed on 8.5 X 11 paper, hole punched and placed in a planner.

Each page of the calendar includes:
  • Weekly Appointment Schedule - to keep track of where you (or the kiddos) need to be.
  • Weekly Task List - to check off what needs to be done each day of the week to get and keep your home clean and organized.  It also schedules time for hobbies and/or play.
  • Daily Task List - to check off what needs to be done daily to keep you home clean.
  • Monthly Task List - to check off those special items that need to be monthly or seasonally.
  • A Monthly Calendar - as a reference so you know where you are in the month.

The 2015 Clean House Calendar is up and ready to download in my Etsy Store.  Want to give it a try first?  Here is a free 2014 October –December.

Enjoy,

Photo A Day

Yesterday morning I was thinking about all the things I wanted to accomplish in the New Year and I realized I had a word for the New Year, 'Do.'  Instead of thinking, dreaming, talking about what I want to do, I'm gonna DO it.  Instead of spending my time surfing or watching, I'm gonna spend my time DOING.  That basement that I keep talking about cleaning out is going to be cleaned out. That photo wall that I keep dreaming about is going to be installed.  Those craft projects and recipes I keep pinning are going to be created.  And, that TV I keep watching is going to be turned off.

One of those projects that I have been thinking about is a Photo-A-Day album, where you document your day to day life.  A couple of summers ago I tried to do something like this.  I got most of the photos taken but as of today they are still not scrapped.  Then this past December I tried a December Daily album.  It's almost finished.  I found I had a hard time finding something to take a photo of every day.  Granted most days we had somthing going on and easily photographed but the few days we didn't were hard.  So I decided to make myself a list of things to photograph during January.  I've pinned several of these but none of them worked for my life so I made my own.

January 2014 Clean house Calendar

Happy New Year!  Wow, where did 2013 go?

I want to start the year off with an apology,  I have been having issues with the software that I use to create The Clean House Calendar and did not get it finished.  I was able to get January 2014 finished before I started having problems which I have for you as a free download HERE

I will post throughout the month over at The Clean House Calendar Blog about where I am as far as finishing and will have the 2014 Clean House Calendar up on Etsy ASAP.

Thanks so much for your patience,
Britia
